Weather So Bipolar I'm Sitting In A Mall

If you read my last post, I thrifted this blouse and paid a total of $5.99!  I'm still deciding weather or not the price was good or not.  I don't know about you guys but I've never seen anything quite like it and the fabric is really durable, wrinkle free, and the print is sewn in so it won't fade.  Ya, ok I think the more I'm writing this, the more I'm convincing myself it was worth it :)  This was probably the perfect blouse for such temperamental weathered day.  It's one of those materials, that when it's really hot, it diverts the heat of the Sun from burning your skin, and when it's cold, it tucks you in nice and cozy.  I actually can't wait for the colder months to be able to layer this with sweaters.  Can you just imagine those collars peaking out from a knit sweater?  Ah it's sweater porn!  But wait, before you get weirded out by my words, can we just take a moment for the filters on these outfit pictures?  Yes, I used filters and I actually used VSCO cam to do it.  Honestly, once you figure out all the features in VSCO cam, your pictures will finally be on point.  Goals, am I right?

Also, I'd really appreciate a quick like from you guys on my Facebook page if you haven't already.  Also, feel free to check out my Instagram account.  Which reminds me, I just created a new Insta account that features people's cool vintage and/or thrifted finds.  Check it out!

My shorts are from AĆ©ropostale.  I thought black would go sweet with this loud blouse because it gives it a sleek elegant canvas to lay on.  My sunnies were gifted to me for my birthday and are from Ardene's.  My backpack is from a brand called Under1Sky.  They kindly sent it to me a while back and I know I'll be using it a lot this summer.  If you want to see more outfit posts with it click here,  here, here, or here.  My shoes are from a brand called G.H. Bass & Co.  I got them at a store in the states when I went 2 years ago i believe?  Wow time flies.  My ring is from Claire's.  My necklace is from my childhood.  My hat is from my childhood.  My drink is form Starbies.  And lastly, my earrings are from Forever 21.

Congrats!  You made it to this part of the post.  I actually started writing this post yesterday but never finished it.  So this is what I wrote:

Today has brought so many mixed emotions.  For some strange reason, I woke up at 5:30 this morning.  Explanation?  Well, I don't have one.  Perhaps it's because I had school today and thought lets get this over with.  Or more so, my life is just messed up and I need to get my shit together.  Either way works I guess.

Since I woke up so early, I had so much time on my hands.  I scrolled through my Instagram feed for what seemed like 10 minutes, but always ends up an eternity I'll never get back.  Then, I checked my YouTube subscription box and watched some videos.  Though I have to say that lately I haven't been as addicted to YouTube, which should be a good thing.  Then I did my makeup.  I don't always wear makeup to school, but if I do it's probably one of these 3 reasons: 1) I am getting my picture taken 2) I just feel like it 3) I woke up extremely early, perhaps 5:30 in the morning early and am super bored that I decide to  put makeup on because I now it will take me like a good 20 minutes of intense concentration in front of the mirror.  Then I changed into well the outfit you're seeing in this post!  Wow who would've thought!  Then I when to school at 8:30, even though we didn't have to be there till 10:30.  Then at 10:30, well we were finally able to get our marks back and our report card.  I waited a good whole FOUR days for my marks to finally officially say that I'm on summer vacayyyyyy baby :)  And you wanna know how I'm spending my first day off from school?  Sitting on an off-yellow kind of beige couch (if you can even call it that) at a mall writing this post.  Woo!  But actually, I don't mind all too much because as you can tell by the title of this post (if you even read it), the weather outside has a life of its own.  One moment the the Sun is nowhere to be seen, the clouds have turned a gloomy tinted blue, and the wind is blowing in your face as the humid air surrounds you.  The next moment the Suns decided to show it's obnoxiously huge hot bright face and murder us all and we die from heat stroke.  Okay that's a bit dramatic but it sounds cool this way, so we'll leave it at that.

I'm so over the place right, now it's unbelievable.  I want to write to much in this one post and all these ideas keep coming to me that I can't even finish a sentence.  I've decided not to overwhelm you with the thought process of my brain, though I have a feeling this will be a long post.  For now,  I'll leave it at that, but it's only 2:12 pm so I know that once I take pictures of my outfit and upload them, I'll have more to say since I'm pretty sure I'm going over to my friends place to watch PLL tonight!!!  Okay, yup, I'm juts going to sip my overpriced Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade, while I have my headphones plugged in yet nothing is playing.  Yup this summer is off to a good start:)  What's your favourite drink to get at Starbucks?  Mine's the Caramel Ribbon Crunch.  That stuff's killer!

K BI! ... FOR NOW

I also browsed around Forever 21 and H&M for some inspiration and what not, while indulging in my peanut butter sandwich (courtesy of my mom).   Is it just me or did Forever 21's sunglasses like increase by a whole $1?  Ugh.  They're so cute though.  The struggle.

Thrift Hunting For A Denim Jacket

Today I met up my friend Ling-Su.  Thanks to her I have these pictures of my outfit!  Anyways, I've been really eager to try thrifting because I've seen so many people find so many great pieces there for what seems to be quite a reasonable price if you look hard enough.  The main reason why I wanted to go thrifting was to find an oversized denim jacket that I could DIY.  If you google custom denim jackets you'll find some pretty cool and inspiring ones.  But to save you some time, I already went to google and pulled some pictures for this post for you.  You're most welcome :)  I actually put it on my Vision board.  It's a board where I put all the stuff I want to do and aim to have before time runs out.  Sorta like a bucket List I guess you could say :)  It's still in the making, but I'm really excited to fill it up and watch as I slowly take the stuff I achieve down!

Basically, I walked out content with 2 items that I just couldn't let slip through my fingers.  The denim jacket was $7.99 by the brand "Tomorrow's Generation", which is pretty good I guess and the moon encrusted blouse was $5.99 by the brad "Lucia".  For me, that was on the rather pricey side, since we are talking about a thrift store.  But honestly, I don't think I will ever find a blouse just like it.  I do, I'll report back.  The pattern is vibrant and is it just me or does it have a nautical effect?  Maybe it's the colours, but I freaking love it.  Especially the collar.  In the colder months, I'm planning on layering this under a seater and having the collar peak through and Oh My God it's gonna be GREAT!  You know, it's funny how in the winter I dream of what I'll wear in the summer and how I hate the cold because I just want to wrap myself like a burrito in my blanket and hibernate.  (Exhibit A in this post.)  But, now that it's summer,  I can't stop thinking about all the layering I can do in the winter!  Layering just gets me so stoked for the cold weather.  But, the weather will never please me. Do you guys get winter (i.e. like snow and ice) where you live?

Outfit Of The Day:
Halter top: Brandy Melville
Midi Skirt: (Courtesy of my mom's closet)
Necklaces: From a garage sale (one of the highlights of summer time)
Purse: Under1Sky*
Sandals: American Eagle (I swear I wear them everyday because they are my only everyday shoes)
Sunnies: Dior
Drink: Tim Hortons "Ice Capp" (my holly grail <3)

Okay, let me attempt at explaining this picture:

While at the store, I found this really huge...bowl, I guess you could call it?  The bottom of it was a mirror and well, ya doesn't that just call for a picture?  The thing that threw me off was the price.  69 freaking dollars?  W-T-H??!

On the way back home, I met these two adorable dogs.  Can we just take a moment to appreciate how excited they were to have their pictures taken?  Which reminds me, I actually applied to volunteer with the Toronto Cat Rescue.  If you know me, you know I love animals and I just want to help them and care for them anyway possible.  I have to wait to hear back from them, but I really do hope I can be apart of their wonderful team!  I'll update you guys when I find out!

And to think the last time I went thrifting, I was maybe 8, with my mom and I hated it because the place smelt like a dump.  I think they've definitely cleaned up from the last time I went.

Here's To The Beginning Of Our Summer Adventures (Inserts Emoji Peace Sign)

There's such a calming feeling when you spend the whole day car free, computer free, and stress free.  Yesterday, my friend Sena had her incredibly early birthday spent on Centre Island.  When I say incredibly early, I mean two-months-early-because-her-real-birthday-is-in-August kind of early :)  Have you guys ever tried tandem biking?  It's basically a two seater bike that two people have to pedal in sync in order to properly maneuver.  Yesterday I did it for the first time and it was such a thrilling experience.  Thrilling in a way that trying to pedal in sync with your friend is such a weird thing, but once you get the hang of it, there's no stopping the two of you from speeding down the quiet streets and taking in the beautiful refreshing view of your green surroundings.  So I'd say, tandem biking is a must on your summer to-do list.

My partner for tandem biking was my friend Lindsay.  Finger credz to her!  As you can see, our bike's bell seems to be missing a heart?  Now it's just "I MY BIKE".  But good luck saying that ten times fast.

After tandem biking, we ate lunch and then hit the beach!  Ah yes, the beach.  Aside from the cherry tomato face I got afterwards, it was so nice to lay in the  sun and feel the warm sand run through your feet as you wiggle your toes through.  It's days spent like this that make me envy those who live by the beach.  Someday I plan on visiting Santa Monica Pier.  I mean, aside from the fact that I'm pretty sure Hanna Montana (one of the best Disney shows ever) filmed there, it would be a thrilling experience to walk along it and slowly watch the sun as it sets.  For now, I'll settle with the picture of Lindsay and I reenacting the Titanic on the Centre Island Pier.

Everything I was Wearing That Day:
Top: SML Boutique
Bikini Top: Aerie
Sweater: Everlast
Studded Pleather Shorts: Forever21
Sandals: American Eagle
Sunnies: Ardene's
Pearl necklace: Garage Sale
Necklace on Shorts: Forever21

Here's a few up close shots of my accessories.  The blue coin purse was also from a garage sale I went to a few days back.  I thought I might as well show you a quick pic of some of the things I got that day.  You'll probably see them in future.
